Another reviewer sees fit to condemn this book as illustrated fantasy, but since the book cites numerous published physics articles in detail, I suspect that the critic has not bothered to read it. Probably he is merely complaining about the dearth of equations, as if that's the only criterion for deciding whether a given book is scientific or not (without conceding that he's expressing simple prejudice against the notion that a "UFO" could be real).

But as Potter points out, reliance on equations which describe linear thrust could be what is tying the hands and blinkering the vision of scientists, and thus tending to inhibit them from thinking about other ways that propulsion could be achieved (and apparently has been achieved, though possibly not yet by earthbound humans). The new concept here is using reverse-gravity fields to PULL the craft forward (as if falling into a gravity well in front of it) instead of to PUSH it from behind using chemical fuels, such as in a traditional rocket.

It's because the curving lines of magnetic force are more difficult to describe with equations, the author explains, that illustrations are used instead. And many of these showing spiralling lines of force are well crafted and elegant; some are even in colour. These drawings should be worth not just a thousand words, but also equivalent to a goodly number of obscure mathematical expressions that don't communicate anything to an intelligent "lay" reader whose eyes glaze over when confronted with the gobbledegook known as calculus. Books which rely on equations to "prove" a scientific point thus exclude general readers, and address only those who can use the same jargon.

To have an overview gravitational control with good artwork is very welcome for the non-mathematician who finds this subject intriguing. Because the possibilities in this technology might help us get past reliance on the combustion model of air transportation, this work is very timely, and people interested in "greening" of our energy system might like to learn about the physics involved. Turning to gravity control for specialized applications instead of simple thrust might both eliminate harmful chemicals and provide military advantage; the UFO model is far more maneuverable than a traditional fuel-burning jet which cannot execute a right-angle turn without breaking apart.

But it's due to the weakness of the English-language writing that I feel I must downgrade this book to a 4; I might even mark it down to 3.5 but there doesn't seem to be a half-star option! The frequency of run-on sentences and other grammatical failings result in having to re-read some paragraphs a couple of times to make sense of them. Some cleanup of the technical glitches in the writing would have resulted in a clearer text to accompany the illustrations. I hope that a future version will receive the attentions of a competent editor, so that the text is both worthy of the technical illustrations -- and more concise! Probably this book could be quite a few pages shorter, and still communicate these concepts even more effectively.

This book introduces a brand new field of scientific research based upon analysis of artifacts retrieved from crashed and damaged UFOs that have come down in Russia and America. For the first time, it reveals the scientific principles behind UFO propulsion dynamics, and shows that these principles are known and recognized by today’s physicists. Potter’s analyses of these UFO mechanisms are substantiated with references to a broad array of over 300 research papers published in scientific journals! Potter correlates many of the phenomena observed firsthand by close encounter witnesses and abductees and pinpoints the common themes reported, categorizing them according to known physical principles. He produces a comprehensive orchestration of energy dynamics used inside and around UFOs. His precise and lavish illustrations allow the reader to enter directly into the realm of the advanced technological engineer and to understand, quite straightforwardly, the aliens’ methods of energy manipulation: their methods of electrical power generation; how they purposely designed their craft to employ the kinds of energy dynamics that are exclusive to space (discoverable in our astrophysics) in order that their craft may generate both attractive and repulsive gravitational forces; their control over the mass-density matrix surrounding their craft enabling them to alter their physical dimensions and even manufacture their own frame of reference in respect to time.
